The EDP series is a double-stage rotary piston vacuum pump built for heavy, continuous industrial duty. It reaches an ultimate vacuum around 0.06 Pa and, with the gas ballast open, can handle gas carrying a small amount of condensable vapour. It is commonly used as the backing pump for roots-pump combinations to reach higher vacuum, serving vacuum smelting and furnaces, sintering, metallurgy, degassing, drying, coating and impregnation. Suction capacity ranges from 15 to 160 L/s.
